Dear Cannerald and CannerGrow Community,

in a previous blog article 'Reset - all Grow-Rooms will be restarted' (click) we informed you that we would have a restart of our Cannerald production.
The restart and cleaning of our production has been successfully completed, all final tests for spores have turned out negative (the system is therefore demonstrably spore-free).

First Grow-Room Alpha was filled with new cuttings
On Friday, February 18th, 2022, Grow-Room Alpha, the first Grow-Room to go into operation, was filled with juicy green cuttings again. We used GMP cuttings from a leading Canadian company. The first 5-6 Grow-Rooms are now gradually filled with these cuttings. (See the schedule below in the article)

Rearing own mother plants
At the same time, we will grow our own mother plants from the GMP cuttings so that our production will be completely self-sufficient again in the future.
We now receive a new shipment from Canada every week (until our mother plants are grown) so that we can get another grow room up and running every week.

Expected further grow starts:
Planned start of the Grow-Room Bravo: February 25th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Charlie: March 4th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Delta: April 4th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Echo: April 14th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Foxtrot: April 26th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Golf: April 29th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Hotel April 29th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room India: May 4th, 2022
Planned start of the Grow-Room Juliet: May 6th, 2022

The start dates given are a rough guide and serve as a guide to when it will actually start again in each grow room. Due to external factors of the import such as e.g. Air traffic or customs clearance may also result in postponements.
As soon as we can cut cuttings again with our own mother plants, as already written above, we will be self-sufficient and independent in production again.

As usual, you can follow the progress in the Grow-Rooms in the backoffice at any time.
The following questions have been asked more and more in this context in the last few days:

Why are the plants so close together?
Our grow team leader introduced a new method that is already being used by leading companies in the US and Canada.
Since our veg. rooms are currently not in operation, the cuttings stand close together in the first week due to the microclimate so that the moisture stays around the cuttings. This method will also be used in our upcoming veg. rooms.

Why are the rockwool blocks missing the drippers that give the plants water and nutrients?
The rockwool blocks (cubes) are soaked with water, nutrients and fertilizer and provide a perfect environment for the plants for the first 7-10 days.
Anyone who has followed our webcams in the past when the respective grows started knows that we have done it this way in the past.

We are very happy for the entire community that the "green gold" has finally found its way back into our halls.
